This garden in the Grange area of Edinburgh consisted mainly of a large man-made stone patio, some worn grass and shrubs that had past their best. The owners wanted to create a much more inviting space to dine out as well as provide a good amount of lawn. Along with retaining the childrens' existing play equipment they wanted to include a sunken tampoline. A greenhouse and lots of interesting herbaceous planting were on the grown-ups wishlist. The existing summerhouse was being used for storage, so a new shed was required, freeing the summerhouse up as a place to sit and enjoy the view across the garden.
